Step # 10 - Stenciling
It's not hard, but there is a best method for getting great painted motifs by stenciling. It's one of my favorite ways to decorate a piece. The stencils are reusable and the paint is cheap, so it's a win win.
But many complain that they have bleeding under the stencil. Follow my technique and you'll have perfect stenciled designs every time.
NOTE: I lay down a thin layer of poly before stenciling to make it easier if I need to wipe it off and start over. Then I apply poly to protect it after it's dry.
